Welcome to the Month of November

The Month of God’s Unexpected

Calvary Greetings People of God,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you all to this beautiful month of November.

November is the 11th month of the year, and it signifies a season of transition

and change. The only constant thing in life is change. Sometimes, change is

difficult to accept, but there are changes that are necessary for us for to move

forward in life. The 11th hour in Scripture is a significant concept, particularly in

Matthew 20:6, where Jesus shares a parable about laborers hired at different

times of the day.

In this context, the 11th hour represents a time of urgency and unexpected opportunity. The laborers hired at the 11th hour, just before the day's end, receive the same wages as those who worked the entire day, highlighting God's gracious and generous nature. The 11th hour symbolizes the possibility of redemption and salvation, even for those who come to faith late in life. The equal wages paid to all laborers, regardless of their working hours, demonstrate God's kindness, grace and mercy. The 11th hour represents the unexpected

blessings and opportunities that God provides, even when we least expect

them.

The 11th hour, therefore, corresponds to around 5 p.m., just before the day's end. This timing emphasizes the urgency and swiftness required to respond to God's call. The 11th hour reminds us that it's never too late. God's mercy and forgiveness are available to everyone, regardless of their past or the stage of their life. We receive salvation and blessings not based on our works or timing, but solely due to God's gracious nature,

grace and mercy.

Blessings,

Pastor Chris
